Event Supports In-Demand Jobs Week with Over 500 Open Positions
Held during Ohio’s In-Demand Jobs Week, the event brought together over 20 employers with more than 500 open positions across healthcare, advanced manufacturing, education, transportation, and food service. These openings ranged from entry-level roles to skilled positions, reflecting the diverse talent needs of businesses in Clinton County.

Community Partners Deliver On-Site Support and Services
In addition to employer booths, over 20 community resource providers were on-site to support long-term employment success. That included participation from Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities (OOD), which helped facilitate mock interviews and provided job readiness coaching in its mobile unit stationed at the event entrance. These real-time support services helped job seekers engage with employers more confidently and productively.
“Events like this create direct, immediate value for both employers and job seekers,” said Ruth Brindle, Workforce & Data Specialist with the Clinton County Port Authority. “We’re aligning community resources with real hiring demand to strengthen Clinton County’s workforce pipeline.”
The Wilmington Transit System supported event accessibility by providing no-cost rides within city limits to and from the venue, eliminating transportation barriers for job seekers.
Workforce Strategy Focused on Employer-Led Collaboration
This collaborative model is part of a broader workforce development strategy designed to meet local business needs with local talent. The Port Authority and Workforce Collaborative will continue investing in employer-led solutions that make it easier for companies to hire and retain qualified employees in Clinton County.
