Clinton County’s 2025 Job Fair delivered measurable outcomes for employers and the community. The Job and Community Resource Fair was designed with one purpose: to connect employers and job seekers in a setting that prioritizes hiring outcomes, not foot traffic. And it worked.

This year’s Spring Job Fair served as a practical extension of Clinton County’s workforce strategy, providing employers with a direct line to candidates while strengthening the broader support network for employment.

Strong Employer Satisfaction Confirms Value

Most employers rated the Job Fair as highly useful. That’s not anecdotal. That’s confirmation that the event remains a reliable tool for real-time hiring, local visibility, and business development.

Wilmington Christian Academy used the event to speak with potential employees and parents. Wilmington Savings Bank connected a prospective homebuyer with its Homebuyers Savings Program. The Wilmington News Journal met a Xenia-based jobseeker interested in a role at their sister paper.

Holiday Inn Roberts Centre and Ralph’s American Grill highlighted conversations with workforce development partners as key to expanding hiring programs. Crown Staffing met with local partners to explore new client connections. Clinton County Board of Developmental Disabilities supported an individual with autism by connecting them with an employer.

These aren’t abstract outcomes. These are real people, honest conversations, and real progress.

The Power of Local Presence

Employers know visibility matters. Whether they were actively hiring or not, organizations used the Job Fair to keep their names in the public eye and remind the community of the roles they play in Clinton County’s economy.

Wilmington News Journal representatives helped local residents understand they still offer a print edition and discussed advertising opportunities with local businesses. Wilmington Hope House connected a young mother in crisis with needed support. Clinton County Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) spoke with a retiree interested in volunteering. These conversations foster long-term trust, which in turn strengthens recruiting pipelines over time.

The Networking Multiplier

The annual fair does more than connect employers with job seekers. It builds a stronger local network across sectors.

Ahresty Wilmington Corporation gained insight into no- and low-cost career development resources available in the county. Mental Health Recovery Board representatives connected with another provider over youth mental health and were able to offer immediate resources. Talbert House scheduled a suicide prevention and wellness event with another attending organization.

These connections multiply impact. They help employers work more effectively, respond to community needs, and increase access to support systems that directly affect workforce participation.

Participation Signals Investment in the Workforce Ecosystem

The 2025 Job Fair provided evidence that the Clinton County community continues to invest in the systems that support employers, workers, and families. The organizations that showed up reinforced their commitment to being part of that system.

We’re already planning for 2026. If you’re serious about hiring, visibility, or building stronger local networks, this is where you need to be.
