The community-led effort to bring broadband internet access to Clinton County needs your help. The Clinton County Commissioners, in partnership with Ice Miller Whiteboard, Lit Communities and DLZ, are conducting a feasibility study to develop short-term and long-term strategies for broadband expansion throughout the county. One aspect of the study includes a survey to county residents to gauge input on the need for reliable, affordable high-speed broadband services.

The pandemic has highlighted the historic need for reliable, affordable high-speed broadband service, particularly for remote learning, telework, telehealth, and e-commerce. “As we all know, the pandemic has highlighted the essential need for reliable, affordable high-speed broadband service,” said Brenda K. Woods, Clinton County Commissioner.

Residents who are at least 18 years of age are asked to participate in the online survey between January 25, 2022 and April 15, 2022. The survey, which you can access at  https://clintonfiber.servicezones.net/, should take about 10 minutes to complete.

The survey is one part of the information gathering phase of the broadband plan. It will provide an analysis of service and infrastructure needs as well as methods for increasing internet accessibility in Clinton County. Survey questions will help identify the level of service needed in various areas of the county and will address issues like cost, speed and satisfaction with current service providers in the area.

In addition to taking the survey, Clinton County residents can attend a variety of meetings scheduled for Tuesday, February 1 and Wednesday, February 2 at the Job & Family Services of Clinton County building located at 1025 S South St #200, Wilmington, OH 45177. Attendees will receive an update on the County’s Broadband Study and have an opportunity to provide feedback on broadband access and current services. To learn more and register, please click here.

If you have questions about the survey, please email clintonsurvey@litcommunities.net.
