The fourth annual Clinton County Job & Community Resource Fair brought together employers, job seekers, and community organizations on Wednesday, May 6, at the Clinton County Fairgrounds, highlighting the strength of collaboration across Clinton County’s workforce and support network.
The event featured 30 employers representing more than 700 job opportunities, along with 25 community resource providers offering information and services related to housing, education, childcare, mental health, and more. Around 200 attendees explored career opportunities, connected with local organizations, and learned more about resources available throughout the community.
“This event continues to show what’s possible when organizations across Clinton County work together with a shared goal,” said Dessie Rogers, Executive Director of the Wilmington-Clinton County Chamber of Commerce. “We saw meaningful conversations happening throughout the evening between employers, job seekers, and resource providers, and that kind of connection can truly change lives.”
The event was hosted through the Clinton County Workforce Collaborative, a county-wide effort collaboratively tackling workforce challenges through the development and implementation of action-oriented solutions tailored to meet the unique needs of Clinton County’s employers, educators, and service providers.
“The success of this event reflects the commitment our community has to supporting workforce development and creating opportunities locally,” said Ruth Brindle, Workforce & Data Specialist with the Clinton County Port Authority. “When businesses, agencies, and organizations come together like this, we create stronger pathways for both individuals and employers to succeed.”
The Clinton County Workforce Collaborative includes partners from the Clinton County Port Authority, Southern Ohio Educational Service Center, Wilmington-Clinton County Chamber of Commerce, and OhioMeansJobs Clinton County, along with additional community and industry stakeholders focused on strengthening the local workforce pipeline.
