Kettering Health broke ground on April 11, 2022, for a new medical center in Wilmington. The center — slated to open in the summer of 2023 — will mark its first operation in the city.

The 32,000-square-foot facility will be located at 1580 Rombach Avenue and will contain an emergency room, outpatient lab and imaging services, family medicine, and specialty physicians.

“We’re excited to welcome Kettering Health to the community,” said Jennifer Klus, Economic Development Director for the Clinton County Port Authority. “Having multiple options for access to healthcare is not only important for our residents, but also an important factor for businesses looking to locate in Clinton County.”

The facility will employ approximately 100 full-time positions and is expected to cost $23 million to build.

“Wilmington is a vibrant and growing community,” said Fred Manchur, CEO of Kettering Health. “Their welcoming spirit and excitement for what Kettering Health will bring to their community has energized our team and exemplified our mission to improve the quality of life of the people in the communities we serve through healthcare and education.”

Kettering Health operates 13 medical centers and more than 120 outpatient locations in western Ohio.
