Rick Schaffer

Rick joined the Port Authority staff in 2024 after 25 years in municipal public works, including more than four years as Public Works Director for the City of Wilmington. Rick will be managing various public works related projects and planning on behalf of the Port Authority. His experience also includes leadership roles at water plants in Norwalk, Wilmington and Oberlin. Before that he was a journalist at local newspapers and trade publications. He holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from Bowling Green State University.
