Our Successes

The CIC has facilitated the success of some of Clinton County’s major employers through the sale of land to entities that would later become ATSG, a leading provider of aircraft leasing and air cargo transportation, and Ferno, the leading global provider of emergency care solutions.

The CIC was also responsible for the initial development of Davids Drive, an industrial corridor that is now home to businesses employing hundreds of local residents, including Alkermes, a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility, and EMSAR, a national leader in medical equipment services.

Our History

In its early years, the CIC was central to ushering in a new era of economic growth and prosperity in Clinton County following the closure of the Clinton County Air Force Base in 1972. With financing from the Clinton County National Bank and First National Bank, the CIC purchased 832 acres from the U.S. Government and set in motion the development of what is today the world class Wilmington Air Park.
